This morning I trapped a millipede under a tin can in my kitchen. Colin agreed later to remove it for me. "SICK!!"

I called the guy back about this VOLVO I'm interested in buying...rather than being a hard ass and starting the negotiating process right then and there, I told him I'm hoping to get into town one of these days to talk with him in person because I don't like talking on the phone...and that I can't really afford it...blah blah blah... I am NO good at bullshitting.

We just barely missed the rain on our walk to the post office this morning. Across the lake, the clouds sitting on Goat mountain gave the appearance of threatening snow - gray and cold. It is still raining!!

Last night I spent a little while in the peaceful home of one of my friend's here. She gave me a much needed massage. I've gotten very tense this last week or so chopping onions and worrying too much about pleasing everyone....decided I needed to take on more of 'the kitchen bitch' persona and just not care what people want or think! :)

I just noticed a book here in the office by Ann Zwinger. She is an author for whom my grandma (E.G. aka Timilou aka Charlotte) has helped form and edit many manuscripts over the years. I am so proud! And to feel the world shrink like that... I've seen her books in my grandma's house all these years and now my grandma's effort and wisdom is acknowledged right here in this beautiful book about my backyard (Yosemite, in case you didn't know, is basically my backyard).
