Summer Time

I went climbing today!! I climbed three fairly easy routes, but it was good to get refreshed on the granite. Lots of good friction, slab climbing... rather than crack... learning the lingo...It was fun anyway, rather than the usual nerve wracking, tear jerking experience I'm used to. I enjoyed it and look forward to challenging myself more and more this summer. It was a beyond beautiful day here. Warm in the sun; cool in the shade.

Now: a little bluegrass, dark chocolate, sushi, seven and seven with Leslie and a chat with my brother - a delightfully relaxing evening.

I realize it's easy to get into a slump here.. Surprisingly. I get into work mode really easily...and stay there... cooking/cleaning/caretaking. It's what I like to do, but it means that I don't take time off like I maybe should. So, this weekend 'away' at Leslie's tree house has been enjoyable. She only lives about 5 miles away, but when I'm at Summit (like being in your own home) there's always something to do!! So, it's nice to take a break.
