life...family...food...rain

Speaking of wild and precious...
it rained all day and I got to legitimately wear my ugg boots for the first time in over a year!
...I ran for the first time in a while the other day - a trail I thought was only 2 miles, come to find out it was 4!!! A cool trail that follows an old logging flume.
...all the new instructors are here now, so it's a full house. There were 11 people in the kitchen tonight filling up on leftovers. One of the most satisfying things for me about cooking is seeing leftovers finished off. I got rid of about 5 containers tonight.
...I helped pick out a couch today for our instructor lounge - green/yellow/orangish stripes...loud. It's a sleeper couch. I'm pretty fond of it.
...my brother and sister-in-law moved into their new house yesterday - first time home buyers. They are so excited. I can't wait to visit them.
...my friend Kate just went back home today after a 2 week visit here with her husband (who works full time for Summit and will stay here this summer). They moved back hom near her family and are helping to care for her father while he fights cancer for the second time...
...my best friend's baby is due Nov. 9th...in Australia...it costs $2000 to fly there and back............

I love that poem. Do you have a book by Mary Oliver? can I read it? This weekend seems wild. the rain is something like out of the middle of December or something.
